The first lithograph from the magazine La Revue Blanche in 1895, based on a poster published in 1894. During the period when he created the legendary poster, Bonnard was also working on theater sets, furniture sketches, and lithographs.

Pierre Bonnard was a French artist, painter, and graphic artist known as one of the outstanding colorists of the 20th century. He was the author of decorative, lyrical, contemplative scenes of everyday life in the spirit of Art Nouveau and one of the key figures of the Post-Impressionist era. In his youth, he led the Nabis group of artists. His goal was to bring beauty into everyday life and break down the boundaries between art and everyday life.
