Kandinsky wrote the preface and contributed to this woodcut, which was reprinted in 1974 from the original block and published in a French monograph.
Published by Société Internat. Art of the 20th Century, Paris, 1974.
The woodcut is in the catalogue raisonné: Roethel 203. Wassily Kandinsky (1866 - 1944) - Russian painter, engraver and art theorist, considered one of the founders of abstract art. His work and theoretical writings had a huge influence on the development of modern art.
